Calypso Mosaic Crochet placemat / runner

This is a 12 stitch repeat pattern. Overlay mosaic.

Now updated to include a table runner pattern (Chart and written) as well as charts marked with R to make reversible and instructions for an envelope border.

I initially designed it as a placemat but it can very easily be made into a table runner or even a cushion cover. I designed it for my lovely ladies in my crochet class, who had never heard of mosaic before.

I have written the pattern as a tutorial, with photos. If you can already crochet but have never tried mosaic crochet, then this is for you. However, those more experienced have also enjoyed this pattern.

There is a written pattern as well as a graph/chart. For newbies, its easier to follow the written pattern but once its clicked, most find the graph easier to follow.
