Cabled Hearts Headband

This headband features a pattern of cabled hearts, on a background of reverse stocking (stockinette) stitch, edged by a pretty eyelet border. At the centre of the band, the heart motif inverts to become an upside-down image of itself.

The band can be worked in any DK or 8-ply yarn and comes in four sizes, from baby to adult. The pattern is both written and fully charted.

It is a fairly quick knit and requires knowledge of:

• cable knitting
• m1 and yrn increases
• k2tog, ssk, p2tog, ssp, k3tog and sssk decreases

all of which are described in the instructions.
