Product Description
Inspiration
Designed to use down to the very last centimeter of leftover yarns, I decided to make these “destroyed” socks featuring a solid construction, an illogical combination of colors and yarns, and a dropped-stitch detail on the front of the sock. In a world where everything is disposable, why not be a rebel and use even the smallest bit of leftover yarn as a form of protest, while leaning into the distressed trend seen in today’s fashion with all those ripped jeans.
Note: Designed to be worked toe-up, two-at-a-time, because life's too short for single-sock knitting!
Yarn
60 g in total of fingering-weight sock yarn leftovers and a 20 g mini skein for the toe, heel, and cuffs.
Can be substituted with any sock yarn of 75% wool and 25% polyamide or 100% wooden sock wool.
Gauge
32 stitches x 42 rounds in Stockinette stitch worked in the round in 10 cm (4 inches) with 2.25 mm (US 1) needles, blocked.
