Blooming Sakura Shawl

Blooming Sakura Shawl is a crescent-shaped shawl, featuring the Stockinette stitch, a delicate waving lace stitch and a chain-like ridge across this lace stitch to add texture. It is worked in one-piece top down.

Size: After blocking, approx.: 63” wingspan, 17.7” depth (160 cm wingspan, 45 cm depth).

Materials and tools:

Yarn: Bendigo Woollen Mills Luxury 4 ply (100% Merino wool; 787 yards (720 meters) /200 grams) or any heavy lace, light fingering or fingering weight yarn. Total yardage - 492 - 656 yards (500 - 700 m)

Needles: US 4 (3.5 mm) 32” (80 cm) or 40” (100cm) circular needles;

Knitting skills: basic knitting skills, K2tog, skp, slip knitwise, slip purlwise, wyif, wyib.
