Excellent service as usual
The pattern I bought is interesting because it is a sweater knitted from the top down, with no seams - I'm looking forward to making this as it is a bit different from the usual.

Here is another sweater I designed with my husband in mind. He likes his sweaters to fit well, and be comfortable around the neck and be 'smart but not too smart'. Luckily he has me to translate all of that into a sweater design.
For this sweater I've used worsted weight yarn, to make this design comfortable to wear for most of the year. The sleek styling and understated pattern mean that the sweater will fit into most situations, whether they are formal or informal.
The sweater has been carefully designed to provide a neat finish to the sillhouette and a good fit throughout.
The classic raglan sweater shape is given an update with the addition of five subtle texture bands that cross the sweater at regular intervals. There are full instructions for working these bands, and also for working the yoke shaping techniques.
This sweater is worked in one piece from the neck down, with no seams to sew.

The Better Days Sweater is a knitted pullover sweater designed by Jane Howorth for intermediate knitters. This project is available in nine sizes ranging from S1 through L3, with finished chest measurements from 38 inches (96 cm) to 52 inches (132 cm). The sweater is designed to fit with 2 inches (5 cm) of positive ease, meaning the finished garment will measure 2 inches larger than the wearer's actual chest measurement for a comfortable, relaxed fit.
The Better Days Sweater is constructed using seamless knitting in the round, a popular modern technique that eliminates the need for seaming pieces together. This method creates a continuous fabric and is worked from the bottom up using circular needles or double-pointed needles (DPNs), depending on the knitter's preferred method. The sweater incorporates stockinette stitch as the primary stitch pattern, which creates the classic smooth, V-textured fabric characteristic of traditional knit sweaters.
The primary stitch used throughout the Better Days Sweater is stockinette stitch (also called stocking stitch), which is created by alternating knit and purl rows when working flat, or knitting every round when working in the round. This fundamental stitch creates a refined, professional appearance and is ideal for showcasing the qualities of quality yarn. The pattern requires careful attention to gauge to ensure proper fit; the specified gauge is 20 stitches and 27 rounds measured over 4 inches by 4 inches (10 cm by 10 cm) when worked on the larger needles in stockinette stitch.
The Better Days Sweater is designed to be worked in worsted weight yarn. The recommended yarn is Paintbox Yarns 100% Wool Worsted Superwash, which offers practical machine-washable properties for everyday wear. This yarn is supplied in 3½ ounce (100 gram) balls with 218 yards (200 meters) per ball. Yardage requirements vary by size, ranging from approximately 1225 yards (1120 meters) for the smallest size to 1795 yards (1640 meters) for the largest size. The pattern specifies that other worsted weight yarns can be substituted, provided the total yardage matches the requirements for your chosen size.
Essential tools and supplies include US 6/4mm and US 7/4.5mm circular needles (or DPNs for working small circumferences), four stitch markers for tracking pattern repeats and shaping points, two lengths of waste yarn or stitch holders for securing stitches during construction, and a yarn or tapestry needle for weaving in ends and any necessary finishing.
This pattern is rated as intermediate difficulty, making it suitable for knitters with foundational skills who are ready to tackle seamless in-the-round construction and garment shaping. Knitters should be comfortable with basic increases and decreases, reading pattern instructions, and maintaining consistent gauge.
