This is a pdf knitting pattern, written in English, using standard US terminology, for you to knit a DK weight Ayden Baby Bonnet photo prop in sizes preemie to one year (plus instructions for your 18" doll, as well).
This bonnet offers beautiful texture around its brim which photographs wonderfully. And, while the stitch looks intricate, it really isn't: just a simple, two row repeat that even a beginner can manage.
I believe it works beautifully for both boys and girls.
