Animal Baby Blanket - Puppy Love

Each of these is suitable for a baby boy or a baby girl, just by altering the colour of the animal and the edging.

The animals are made separately then sewn on to the background with wadding in between to produce a 3D effect.  The tongue, nose and eyes are made separately and worked in as you go.  There are a few ends to sew in and you may find it easier to do this as you go along.  The wadding is optional.  It simply makes the animal stand out more when it is quilted on to the background.

Materials: 200g of DK acrylic in White, 200g of DK acrylic in colour, small amounts of DK in black, pink and deeper chosen colour, wadding (optional) 46 x 58 cm (18 x 23 in).

Equipment: 4.00mm hook, needle for sewing.

Tension: Using above materials, 16 sts and 20 rows to 10 cm (4 in)

Finished size: Approx 63 x 81 cm (25 x 32 in)
