Product Description
What’s the collective noun for pumpkins? A patch! So when you start to feel the autumn chill, and halloween is not far away, here’s a way you can decorate your home with a patch of pumpkins.
This pattern is worked in the round and includes a basic pumpkin pattern plus a cable pumpkin pattern - with the option to add a twisted stitch between the segments for extra definition. You can vary the height of the pumpkin by simply adjusting the number of rows. I’ve given the number of rows I used for the two heights of pumpkins I made, but you can also vary that yourself.
The pumpkins are made with DK weight yarn and while I stuck to autumnal colours, you can use whichever colours you like. And each pumpkin only uses approximately 15g of yarn (less for the shorter version), so this is a great stash buster!
The pattern assumes you are working on a circular needle using the magic loop method, although you could use dpns if you prefer. As the pumpkins have eight segments, it would work well
