All aboard the Toy Box Express! This little locomotive, with its car ready to be filled with cargo and passengers, is waiting to leave the station and set off on all sorts of adventures!
The Toy Box Express is an Intermediate-to-Advanced-level pattern. Skills you will need include basic crochet stitches, increases, decreases, single crochet into the bottom of a foundation chain, crocheting two round together, surface crochet and seaming.
This pattern includes instructions on how to make the engine and the train cars-- including the coal car/tender variation (Passengers are not included). I have also added instructions for two different ways to attach the train cars together. The detachable couplings use loops and buttons to allow the cars to come apart, while the fixed couplings offers a permanent, child-safe way of joining cars together.

This pattern was very straightforward I have been crocheting for more than a year so I have a little bit more experience with crochet however every one loved the finished product and thought it was very cute I did change some of the colors but I still thought it looked really great 😀🙂
