Semi-Precious Shawl

The Semi-Precious Shawl was first released in 2017 with the Madeline Tosh shawl club subscription from Jimmy Beans Wool. The original version uses 12 different colors, but I always wanted to create a 2 color version of the shawl - mostly so there wouldn’t be so many ends to weave in! The result is a shawl that is slightly asymmetrical and just big enough to for light neck and shoulder coverage.

This new version uses just 300 yards/50g of 2 different colors (600 yards total), and only one color per row. This makes it a relaxing knit that is easy to pick up and put down! There is also a lot of flexibility to add in eyelet stripes at the end and use up every last inch of the yarn.

I chose a luxurious cashmere linen blend yarn that I have been hoarding for years. It is the perfect blend of warmth and airiness for fall or spring. However, any light fingering-fingering weight yarn will work!
