On 6.00mm needles the fabric builds up quickly without going stiff, so larger projects like blankets and jumpers work up in a fraction of the time a DK would take. It crochets up well, with good stitch definition, and does not split in use. It stays soft after washing, and being acrylic it takes a machine wash and a low tumble dry, which matters for the blankets and kids' knits that actually get used.
Ideal for colourful stripes, granny squares, chunky colourwork and quick gifts. The shades are developed as a coordinated palette rather than one-offs, so colours can be planned across a project and matched with confidence. The yarn is OEKO-TEX certified.
Specifications: 100g balls, 136m (149yds). Tension 14 stitches and 20 rows to 10cm on 6.00mm (US 10) needles; 6.00mm (J) crochet hook. Machine wash at 30°C, tumble dry on low, cool iron, do not bleach. Made in Turkey.

Perfect for a warm blanket
I am working on a queen-sized blanket. I usually use 2 blankets at night because I make light-weight ones. I wanted something thicker and warmer. I have used Paintbox in the past and wanted to try the chunky weight. It's soft to crochet with. I'm using a J-Hook, so it's heavy, which is what I wanted. The drape is pretty stiff since I'm using the Wheat Stitch. That is something I wanted.
Perfect for Christmas hats
This is exactly what I wanted. I'm using it for Christmas hats. It works really well. They are sold on a heritage railway, during Santa trains.

Winter blanket
