Chilly hands and wrists are no fun and, if you like to have your fingers and thumbs free, arm warmer mitts are a great solution. The Leaf Collector’s Mitts feature a pretty leaf design (naturally) with just enough lace to add interest, but not enough to let the draughts in.
The pattern is suitable for an ambitious beginner looking for a first lace - or ‘charted’ - project, and as they are knit flat, you don’t have to worry about knitting on DPNs or circular needles. If you’re a more experienced knitter, you’ll probably find the pattern repeat easy to remember and will zip through it in no time. Full instructions are provided for sewing up using mattress stitch.
If you’d like to knit these in the round simply omit the selvedge stitches (found at the beginning and end of each row), the pattern will work seamlessly.
