I learned knitting from my grandmother when I was young. She was an amazing knitter and her last knitting project was for her first great grandson (my son). Wanting to continue her legacy, I have always tried to keep up the craft. Now that my kids are school-aged, I find it the perfect occupation for my hands and mind.
