My husbands step cousin really loved the celebrity traitors UK TV series, and i couldnt find a pattern which was what I wanted to make as a christmas present for her. I used the Lumberjack Hat pattern by Nancy Bates from the Knitting California book (also on ravelry https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/lumberjack-beanie-2). I used the tartan chart from this and made it into some sleeveless gloves / wristwarmers. Started 10 rows rib then at a one chart tartan width (36 sts) and did a few increases in the solid block squares so was slightly bigger by the time it got to the arm end, knitted flat on 4mm straight needles using DK. Ended tartan chart at row 36 (without hat shaping) after increasing to 42sts and then ten rows rib again. Then used crochet to sew the seams together and create the thumbholes. Used DK stash red, white and black. The white vertical lines are added afterwards using crochet hook or chain stitch embroidery, as per lumberjack pattern.
