This is from an old patons pattern Gromit in Porthole.PBN E 2212. I made this with my mum for my nephew nearly 30 years ago! My grandsons aged 3&7 love W&G and I decided to make them these. It’s meant to be a surprise for their mum but she saw it and has demanded one in her size! I’ve finished the smaller one and am about halfway through the second one. Last time I made them my mum did the front and I did the rest but I’ve had to do the fronts this time. I have cheated a bit and done intarsia for the large areas and then Swiss darned the details. I had to make pattern smaller for 3 year sold as pattern starts at 26” chest.

Well done! They're great! I'm always attracted to intarsia and then go off the idea when it gets difficult! 😆 I don't blame you for doing some duplicate stitch, I did that on my digger and tiger jumpers

Goodness me, I’m not sure I’d know where to start adjusting the sizing for such a complex design. Gromit is brilliant JaRoo. Just like the real cartoon character. 🤩
