@Mammy Pig: Yes, they do vary and I think it works best with one yarn solid and one variegated 🤔 Only tried it once though! 🤣
That’s a great idea for using up the leftovers :) I’ve only made helical socks with wool that comes out in a weird pattern which I don’t like!

@Helen B: the beauty of helical is when you're wanting to use up oddments.... you can stripe them into another colour and it doesn't matter when it runs out 😁 I do agree though, there are some beautiful colour changing yarns out there!

Thank you :) I don’t actually follow a pattern, I just learnt from watching YouTube videos, but I think they are a basic vanilla sock - hope that helps
