This hat was inspired by the tradional Greek Fisherman Cap which has become popular agan and can be seen around the city. Just like the original Greek model, my piece has two decorative buttons at the sides of the visor. Instead of the braid above the visor, I opted for a more rock ‘n’ roll look – two lines of metal chain stretch above and below the peak and go around the buttons. To make this hat you need basic knowledge of crochet technique and crocheting in rounds. Stitches used in this project are single crochet, double crochet and chain. The hat is completed in rounds, in 3 stages by holding 2 strands of yarn together. The finishing touch concerns decoration with 2 buttons sewn on each side of the visor and attaching a double chain for extra embellishment.
