I had used 3mm braided cotton cord on previous projects, and was looking for a new pattern to try. I found just what I was looking for in the Fern Trail pattern, though an alternative super chunky yarn can be used instead of cord. I originally planned on making three different colour bags and bought two 100m skeins of each colour for the estimate required. However, I had so much of each second skein left I decided to buy one more of each colour in order to make three more bags...so nine skeins in total for my six bags. I have been crocheting for many years, but inspite of the pattern being beautifully written with loads of helpful photos and videos I did find it a bit challenging! Probably more so if you are a beginner, but well worth the effort. I hope you will agree.
