I made the actual dog with a 4.00mm needle and medium 4 size yarn (worsted weight). The jacket and bow tie are my own pattern however - I did my typical ‘wing it and see if it works out’ and it worked out. The jacket is Red Heart yarn in Sage and I crocheted it with a 4.00mm hook and worsted weight yarn. I used an HDC/SC every-other pattern and it came out with that ribbed-sort of texture. Then I embroidered on some cute buttons with a lighter green (also from Red Heart) and two pockets. Easy, right?! The bow tie was the easiest ever. In fact, all I did was pick up my 4.00mm hook and some scraps of red yarn from a previous pattern. Here’s what I did: Ch 14. Sc in ea st across, rep x6 - 7 (depending on how wide you want that bow, I did 6 rounds high) and cut it. Weave in ends and find a long piece of yarn. Wrap the yarn around the middle of the rectangle 10-15 times. Tie a knot in the back and then you’re done with your bow!
