The Flower Puddles & Ripples Blanket is a highly textured, cabled blanket that is worked in rounds.
The pattern has a repeating section that allows you to make the blanket as large are you would like. You can make a baby blanket, throw or even a bedspread sized blanket. Larger sizes may begin to ruffle beyond 4-5 feet wide, you can compensate for this ruffling by making tighter stitches or dropping down one half (1/2) mm in hook size.
For the brightly colored rainbow blanket I used a mix of yarns and colors to show off the versatility of the pattern, but using a solid color will show off the cabling and texture as well.
RAINBOW BLANKET MEASURES 49 INCHES ACROSS. But the pattern allows you to make it as large as you like by repeating the last sequence of rounds. There are instructions in the pattern in Note #5 for modifications to go larger.

I used an 'L' hook with worsted weight (4) yarn. I printed the pattern so I could cross out the UK terms as it was too confusing while crocheting. I found no issues with the pattern. It worked up like a dream, taking about 9 hours to complete.
