My niece had twin girls a few years back and has just had the news of a baby boy due. She’s a bit of a “next” girl, but I just couldn’t resist making something. Or though I’m sure something “auntie knitted “ will make her cringe lol (makes me feel old) so trying to make something a bit modern. Ordered the crofter wool, but downloaded the pattern and thought I’d try the pattern out ahead of wool being delivered. Had some wool left over from a previous project, but turned out not to be enough wool to complete the edging on the hood. Nearly gave up on it then thought about putting a fur trim from left over bunny wool. So then trimmed cuffs and bottom edge to match with a crochet hook to make it tie in, and found buttons to match! So it matches the bunny I’d made for him.

Lovely baby coat , such a modern style & I love the colour,
This is wonderful. I love the blue/grey trim and buttons with the soft mint green. You couldn't have done better if this was planned this way from the beginning.
Beautiful Carole 😍
She'll love it, it's gorgeous! (and that's how stashes grow!!)
Love the colours and the style is modern, I think your niece will love this and will love the fact auntie knitted it.
Luv the colours ! Beautiful little jacket.
It looks lovely with the fur edging Carole 😀
