Bailey Cushion
I made this cushion for my writing partner who sadly lost his dear old friend Bailey recently, adapting the pattern from Ruby and the Foxes' black lab cushion into a brown version since Bailey was a chocolate lab. Due to his venerable age of 15 he was a pretty grey chap, so I tried to reflect this too. The pattern calls for 100g balls, but I used a different yarn that came in 50g balls. So for anyone else converting to smaller balls, it might be helpful to know I needed 7 mustard and one each of everything else. I also had to introduce an extra shade of brown for the eyes; using an acrylic helped make them stand out against the wool of the rest. I found the lovely lettering on this website: https://littlecottonrabbits.typepad.co.uk/photos/alphabet/ Although I didn't finish this for some time, it was actually a quick knit - probably about a fortnight all together (half a day of that was sewing ends in!)

Ohh wow your friend will treasure her cushion forever. Your Bailey looks so like her baby and you have even written his name on the back.😊😊
