I’m making some story sacks for my local preschool and this is one of them. The little girl Sophie was quite easy to recreate using the Little Belles pattern, but the tiger was a different story. I started off with the tiger from Louise Crowther’s book, Wild Animal Friends, but had to make huge variations in the number of stitches and rows. Mostly it worked OK, but I’m still not too happy with his head and face. And now Sophie seems too small so I think I may have to make another one.

Very happy tiger going by his big wide grin. He’s lovely
These are wonderful Helen 😍, the children will love them. Very clever to adapt the patterns t match the story. We're so self critical as knitters aren't we 🙃
They are adorable Helen. I actually read the book to my Granddaughter yesterday, it’s such a classic the little ones will love having the Tiger and Sophie to stretch and love their story time further 🥰😍💕
Gorgeous
He’s a brilliant tiger- knitables do a great one too. Don’t worry about Sophie kids don’t notice relative size they just love the toys.
I think they are perfect to go with the story time, the children will love them. They will see the story character not the head and face (which is absolutely fine) he's a lovely tiger.
Mr Tiger is lovely and the children will love him - these characters really bring a story to life don't they. 😀
Thank you Elaine. Yes I don’t think the children will be too worried if he’s not quite like the pictures. 😂💕
I think tigger is great Helen, the children will love them while listening to the story 💕💕
