I made this for grand nephew Samuel just a light waistcoat for cooler days and an addition to his ‘Mice and a slice’ I altered - 1. finish on shoulders to Kitchener stitch. 2. Did not cast off neck stitches just included in band count. 3. Reduced the buttons down to just 3 4. I did the band border in one piece. I’m not sure it was an easy knit as pattern suggested for me! I find old patterns a little tricky as my head is trying to say is that instruction necessary? Or can I tweak it! 😂🤔

Lovely little waistcoat, will keep Samuel nice and warm on the cooler days. Little waistcoats are great as they leave the arm free for movement and play. x
Lovely waistcoat, its a beautiful blue. Love the little buttons as well
Nothing wrong with tweaking Maria, especially if it saves you time or gives a better result. I rarely do shoulder shaping as written in traditional patterns. And it’s a lovely waistcoat for little Samuel; I particularly like the buttons. 🥰🥰💕
Really smart and I like all your "amendments" to the pattern - sounds much easier! 😀
Lovely little vest Maria.
Beautiful waistcoat Maria. Love the colour and the nautical buttons! Perfect!
Gorgeous colour Maria. Baby Samuel will be the envy of all his friends 😂
