A beautiful blend of merino wool, alpaca and viscose, Rowan Felted Tweed DK has been lightly pre-felted to produce a felted look when knitted up. The rustic colour palette makes this yarn perfect for fair isles, striping and other colour work - and a favourite with Rowan designers. The care instructions should be followed to prevent the yarn from further felting.

Rowan FT is my favorite yarn. Knits up well. I use it for everything from coats to scarves.
Initially I was unhappy about the cost of the yarn, but it is worth every penny. It is gorgeous to knit with and because it's so light, goes a lot further. As a result I am knitting gorgeous beanies using half the wool the pattern stated. And the freckles of colour woven into the yarn lift, even the darkest shade, in a really subtle but beautiful way. I wouldn't use it for large projects, due to the cost, but it is perfect for hats, gloves, socks and scarves.
