Product Details
A dreamy & elegant cardigan with a flattering, relaxed drape that hints at curves without clinging. The swingy A-line shape is created by the lace triangle that grows from a small twisted cable down the back.
Knitted in one piece from the centre back collar down to the hem, collar, front bands & all. The sleeves (top-down, set-in, in the round) have to be knitted one at a time, of course, but there is no sewing in sight.
This is a new technique – Åsa's Top-Down Ziggurat Tricnique! – inspired by Tuulia's Tailored Sweater Method but knitted in one go, so to speak. Step-by-step instructions & a photo tutorial guide you through the unusual beginning.
The gorgeous drape is provided by the dreamy Faery Wings, which inspired the design. I recommend you use a drapey yarn, such as a silk/merino blend or maybe a bamboo blend. Alpaca would probably work well, too.
