As fresh as spring, this poncho is as light and airy as the days ahead. Knit in the round from the neck to the hem, this sampler of fern-lace stitch patterns shows to best advantage the cashmere/merino/silk blend of the fingering weight yarn used.
Directions include charts and round-by-round instructions.
• poncho is knit in the round from the neck edge to the hem
• three colors are used to highlight the change in stitch patterns as you progress thru the poncho; this would also look stunning in one color. You’ll need 70 yds of light gold, 140 yds of grass and 280 yds of emerald for a total yardage need of 490 yards of fingering weight. The design fits many sizes and is easy to adjust to a longer length (notes are included within the design) – adjust yardage needs accordingly.
• this lace-sampler shows three versions of the classic fern-lace stitch patterns; the final stitch pattern allows for creating a scalloped edge by pinning-out the tips of each “fern”
