Zig Zag Baby Beanies

Is there anything cuter than a baby in a handknitted hat? A baby AND a toddler in handknitted hats! These hats let you personalise with favourite colours above and below the black and white chevron stripes; perfect for having a similar look without being too matching. Design The hats are worked flat, on 3.5mm/US4 knitting needles, and are seamed when finished – an edge st is worked as a seam allowance. Only two colours are used at any one time, so they are an ideal introduction to bold colourwork. The pattern was first published in the UK magazine 'Your Knitting & Crochet' and a colourwork chart and written instructions are provided.

Two different sizes are provided: Baby Hat (6-12 mths) 16cm height, 38cm circumference (6¼” height, 15” circumference) Toddler Hat (1-3 yrs) 20cm height, 43cm circumference (8” height, 17” circumference)
