Yubinashi

Mitts are an ideal accessory to tide you over to a new season. This pair has an interesting texture on the back of the hand that I called “slip stitch cable”, because it may look like a cable but is not worked like one.

These mitts were entirely inspired by the luscious yarn I used, Quince & Co. Chickadee. It is a lofty sport weight yarn with lots of air spun in and therefore you can knit it at a loose gauge and still get a fabric that can defy low temperatures.

Gauge 10.5 sts x 18 rnds = 5cm in St st, after blocking

Needles One set of US 6 / 4mm DPNs or size needed to achieve gauge, use magic loop method if prefered
