The Wizardy Socks are a perfectly magical textured design. I created this design for my daughter Bryony, being inspired by her love of the fictional character Professor Remus Lupin.
I always see Remus as wonderfully shabby, so the stitch pattern reflects the slightly crumpled fabric of his clothing.
These socks made the ideal project for a new sock knitter, as they use just knits and purls to create the pretty fabric.
They are a perfectly unisex design, so you could knit Wizardy Socks for the whole family!
The pattern also includes a DK version, for super snuggly wizardy-ness!
The socks feature a traditional heel flap and gusset, and my Umbrella Toe. The texture pattern is both written and charted. The instructions are written for the magic loop method but other methods can of course be used.
