Product Description
A cosy cable knit pair of trousers/leggings and a hat to compliment our Wilbur Jacket pattern (available in a separate pattern).
The trousers are made from the bottom up, in garter stitch, with a cable stitch running the length of the leg, and a comfy-fit ribbed waistband, which can be folded over, or turned and hemmed inside to create a channel to insert elastic. The cable pattern is both written and charted.
If you are comfortable, the legs could be worked in the round, then joined using magic loop. Short rows are used to create height at the back.

Yarn (DK): Trousers: 50g x 2 (2, 3, 3, 4) e.g., Drops Karisma (100m per ball) Hat: 50g x 1 (1, 1, 1, 1)
Needles: 4.00mm & circular 4.00mm & 3.50mm, plus cable needle
Other supplies: Stitch markers If using, elastic 2.5-3cm wide, long enough for child’s waist plus 2cm to sew the two raw ends together.
