The mitts are inspired by a painting of mine. I cut a stencil for a knot — and later decided that I want to crochet that knot as well. So, I made a horizontal cable with six strands.
These mitts are crocheted using slip stitches. The cable is created horizontally, a technique I invented. The braid can be used as the thumb hole.
