Wee Aran

A little raglan cardigan in simple cables and Irish moss stitch, with optional pockets and a shawl collar.

There are 4 sizes: to fit a 3 months old baby up to a 4 year old.

The pattern is written in full with a chart for the cables as well as text, and instructions for German short row shaping and one-row buttonholes.

The samples were made in Patons Totem, but any well spun yarn of similar weight and yardage, that achieves the required gauge, can be used. A suggested yarn is shown below.

The cardigan is made on two needles, from the hem upwards, in separate pieces to the armholes; then the fronts, back and sleeves are all joined, to be worked as one for the raglan shaping.
