Review summary

Many reviewers praise the soft feel and how well the yarn knits up, and several mention good colours and value. Complaints are uncommon: a few say it knits thicker than expected, and one reviewer notes that it can split on the needle.

Mixed bag

I wouldn’t use this yarn for anything extra special. It is slightly rough to the touch and it knits up more like a double knit than a sports weight yarn. The give away to this is that you get 100m per 50g ball whereas for a 50g ball of the equivalent Debbie Bliss or Milla Mia you get 125m. If using Debbie Bliss sports weight yarn I have to use a 3.75mm needle because I am a tight knitter. I had to go up to a 4mm needle for this yarn.

Wonderful to do business with!

Lovely wool to knit with and it is so soft and cosy. Just what I needed to make a wrap for a beach wedding in Scotland!

Total satisfaction

streaky yarns can be disappointing when made up. The short, even colour changes worked really well.

My favourite yarn supplier

A nice yarn but slightly difficult to knit with, yarn splits fairly easily on needle.
