This yarn is the worst I have ever worked with., and I’ve been knitting for almost 50 years when I was a little kid. The skeins are terribly loose, and shortly are getting underway on a stranded knit sweater, the MC skein basically exploded into a tangled mess, revealing yarn that is significantly varied in thickness. After hours spent trying to unravel it, I spent $40 on a yarn baller to try and prevent further tangling (and skein yarn should not require balling). The subsequent 2 skeins I...
The yarn colours are lovely and it feels soft to handle but the quality of the yarn is awful and it has been terrible to knit with, definitely not what I expected at the price. Firstly, the balls are so loosely wound they fall apart as you pull out the yarn. I knit from the middle of a ball and so was able to trap them in a small plastic bag but even then the yarn often pulled out in tangled lumps that took time to unravel. Secondly, the yarn is a single ply which has been spun inconsistently....
Excellent yarn in a beautiful range of ombré shades. I particularly need this type of ombré shading for the lace Bargello scarves I knit on my machine and this yarn doesn’t disappoint. I recommend it to everyone who knits my pattern. It also works well as a second yarn for Fairisle knitting.
Gorgeous yarn! Love the colour gradient. Makes a light yet warm garment that shows off stitching really well.....going to have to get more as the whole family want something made out of it!
My daughter has just started crocheting she done a few children's bunny's an now she on bags an cardigan. The complete finish with the cords is awesome I will be buying more different colours. Next step is bathroom rugs.
colours are amazing so soft to make a shawl for a friend with disability so light it will not impact on her condition amazing quality
I have knitted many pairs of socks. The wool was joined in several places, and whereas it was meant to be a gradual move to a different colour, when the wool was joined it was an abrupt change of colour. I graft of the wool at the toe, unfortunately as you pulled the wool through the stitches it became weaker and weaker until it broke. I attempted this three times and had to give up, and use another method of finishing. With all sock wool I have bought, I get three socks from one ball, not so...
This will be the third time I have used this yarn - beautifully soft. It can be a bit "slubby" and, because it is single-ply, it can split quite easily, but the warmth and softness of the yarn more than makes up for that.
Love this yarn it feels so luxurious and the colours are gorgeous perfect for shawls . I used a bigger book than what was suggested and it came out really lacy with good drape.
