Product Description
Vestavind are warm winter mittens knitted in a traditional Norwegian design.
The pictured mittens are knitted in Dale Lanolin DK wool yarn, but similar yarn, like Cascade 220 will be a good alternative. Feel free to choose the yarn and color suggestion in the pattern or the DK wool yarn and colours of your choice.
Needle sizes used in this pattern are intended as suggestions only. Check the gauge by knitting a sample swatch. If the sample swatch has fewer stitches in 10 cm than the stated gauge, reduce the needle size. If the sample swatch has more stitches, increase the needle size.
The pattern comes in only one size. The size can be changed a bit by, for example, going up half a needle size. If you want a longer or shorter mitten, the pattern can be knitted a little longer or shorter before decreasing.
Measurements when using size 3 needles are: Full length: 30 cm, cuff length: 9 cm, width: 11 cm, length of thumb: 7 cm.
