The finished hat has a height of 7.8 to 8.2 inches (20 to 21 centimeters) when measured from relaxed fabric after wet-blocking. This downloadable knitting pattern offers a beginner-friendly project that produces a versatile, wearable accessory suitable for various head sizes and ages.

Techniques and Construction

Ulita employs classic knitting techniques appropriate for beginner-level crafters. The hat is constructed using circular needles to work in the round, which is a fundamental method for creating seamless cylindrical garments like hats. The pattern incorporates two distinct stitch sections: a ribbed cuff worked on smaller needles and a cable pattern section worked on larger needles. Optional double-pointed needles in US size 10 (6.0 millimeters) may be used for the crown decreases if preferred. Needle size adjustment is recommended if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
