The 'EasyFit' Beanie

I don't like a tight beanie on my head - this design allows for a looser fit and is therefore very comfortable to wear. The other beauty of this design is that a 10year old can wear it (it's slouchy) and so can I with a medium adult head. The unisex design makes it very versatile. After a few months of making other people's beanie and hat patterns, I created this 'EasyFit' design. It uses all of the knowledge I had collected, with my own spin. The ‘EasyFit’ Beanie doesn’t comply with ‘normal’ beanie construction – for a good percentage of the time, it is likely to look like it won’t fit your intended wearer. Stay with it – this pattern has been tested and tested and it does eventually work out. You'll need 1-1 ½ standard balls (100m) of your thread.DK weight (8ply) yarns work best, and they work up really quickly, too. It looks fabulous using plain colours, variegated yarns and it also works beautifully using alternating yarns for stripes. Designed by Made for YOU by Fi.
