Teddy & Me! "Snowballs"

Teddy Bears capture the hearts of people everywhere, but are especially beloved by children. This cable pattern includes a festive sweater & hat for children sizes 2, 4 and 6, plus a matching outfit for a special teddy.

Teddy’s outfit is designed for 16"-18" bears with a 13.5"-17" tummy circumference, a very popular size. Over the years I’ve purchased bears from numerous manufacturers, as well as thrift stores and yard sales.

I first designed this set years ago as a holiday gift for a child. The original cable sweater was knit in a fir-tree green yarn & decorated with little red bobble balls. But this outfit is adorable in any color - I especially love making the bobbles "pop" with a contrasting yarn. The sweater can be a crewneck or turtleneck. The hat can have a single or fold-up brim. The detailed pattern includes separate written instructions & charts for each size.

I’ve knit the samples in readily available Red Heart Super Saver, but any worsted yarn with a similar gauge can be used.
