Tea at Downton

This design is inspired by my love of 'Downton Abbey. The sitich pattern reflects elegant french pastries that may have been eaten by the Dowager Countess, at an afternoon tea.

Within the pattern, you will meet Nellie Wright, a dressmaker who lives in the market town of Ripon, just a few miles from the big house. She is commissioned to create a pair of socks for the Dowager, and this design is the result.

The design features some lace and garter ridges that undulate through the sock, just like the flaky layers of pastry in a mille-fueille.

The pattern is written and charted and comes in 3 sizes.
