When I created this pattern, I was thinking about the fact that when you knit socks in colourwork, you often knit the pattern all the way around the foot, when it's not so useful to do it under the foot! At the same time, I was looking for a way to knit socks that would last as long as possible... Because it's so sad to spend hours knitting a pair of socks only to see it get holes a few months later! So I came up with the idea of knitting the heel, sole and toes with 2 yarns held together.

For the yarn to use, do not hesitate to dig in your leftover yarn. Especially for the child's size, the pattern uses only a few grams of yarn. If you decide to buy 3 skeins of the suggested yarn, you will certainly have enough for 3 pairs in women's size or 2 pairs for women and 2 pairs for children.

These socks are knitted from the ankle to the toes, with a heel flap and toes closed with grafting.
