Taffy Twist Cowl

This cowl is a transitional piece to balance the bit of evening chill in the air. It stays in place, adds a bit of color to any outfit, and can carry you through winter into spring.

The name comes from a happy childhood memory. In the summer, a typical Saturday for my family might include visiting a coastal town for ice cream or some sweet confection. There were tall clouds of cotton candy, swirly ice creams coated in sprinkles, and colorful taffy twisted to create a rainbow. That taffy inspired this pattern, which is delicious when knit with colorful or handspun yarn in bulky or super bulky weight. This happy memory loops around my neck to keep me cosy.
