Excellent as always
Yeah, I know, jumping the gun a little as my purchase is still en route, but I've used these yarns before so I can confidently say "excellent"
This bag has a super simple stitch pattern for the body with a unique way of adding on the sides and strap in one piece without seaming.
Unless you crochet very loosely this bag shouldn't have any stitch gaps making it a great project bag (or purse!) that you won't have to worry about anything falling out.
Pdf is 6 pages long with pictures in left and right hand to help explain how the sides and strap are added on.
Yarn used in picture is Red Heart Super Saver Stripes in Neon Stripe (I needed 3 skeins) but just about any Red Heart Super Saver colorway will look great!
The color pooling that occurred in the pictures was not planned.

Bag body measures 12" in height 14" in width with approximately 24" strap.
The Synthesizer is a structured crochet bag designed as a downloadable PDF pattern by independent designer Brandi Isham. This project creates a practical everyday bag with a finished body measuring approximately 24 inches in length, 14 inches wide, and 11.5 inches tall, paired with a 24-inch shoulder strap. The bag features a classic rectangular silhouette with button closures for secure fastening.
This beginner-friendly crochet bag employs a streamlined construction method that minimizes finishing work. The bag is constructed starting with the body, then the sides and straps are crocheted directly onto the body with joining as you go, which eliminates the need for seams. This technique creates a seamless, polished finish while keeping the project accessible for newer crocheters. The pattern uses a straightforward gauge of 17 single crochet stitches by 18 rows over a 4-inch square, allowing for consistent sizing and fit.
The Synthesizer pattern requires knowledge of only three fundamental crochet stitches, making it ideal for beginners:
The Synthesizer pattern calls for approximately 700 yards of medium worsted weight or aran weight yarn. The original design uses Red Heart Super Saver, a 100% acrylic yarn available in numerous colors including the Neon Stripes colorway shown. Three 5-ounce skeins of Red Heart Super Saver (236 yards per skein) are required for the project. Additional materials include a size H/8 (5.00 mm) crochet hook, two ¾-inch buttons for closure, and a yarn needle for weaving in ends and sewing on buttons. The pattern notes that most Red Heart Super Saver colors work beautifully for this design, offering flexibility for color substitution and personalization.
