Superheroes Don't Need Pants

Superheroes is a shawl designed for two yarns of different weight and provide an excellent way to play with different colorways: Same colorway on two different bases? Variegated worsted weight with a semi-solid fingering weight? Two contrasting solids? A scrappy shawl made up of mini-skeins? The choice is yours and the possibilities nearly endless.

The solid textured sections are knit in a worsted or aran weight yarn while the lace sections are knit in a fingering weight yarn. All increases are worked in the textured sections.

Materials  • 1 skein Three Irish Girls McClellan Fingering or other fingering weight yarn  • 1-2 skeins Three Irish Girls Wexford Merino Silk (single ply worsted weight wool/silk blend)
