Summer Raffia bag

According to this pattern, you can make a bag of any size you wish. It will be a cute crossbody handbag or a large bag for going to the beach. The pattern is made out of gauge, so you can use any materials: raffia or 100% cotton (weight DK or sport).

• Keep in mind that a bag made of raffia holds its shape better, a bag made of cotton will stretch a little with use.

I used, for example Raffia Fibra Natura 100% rayon, 7wpi, 98yards, 90 meters.

Yardage depends on the size of your bag.

My yarn consumption: - 3.5 skeins of raffia (Fibra natura) for bag size 2525cm (blue bag in the photo); - 1 3⁄4 skeins of raffia (Fibra natura) for bag size 1319cm. (cross-body bag).

Hook size: 4.5mm for raffia, 3.5mm-4mm for cotton yarn 200-300m in 100g.

Optional: magnetic bottom, needle and thread matching the color of the bag.
