Stepping Stones Scarf

For the last six months I’ve had three balls of The Wool from We Are Knitters in a lovely grey colour staring at me from my yarn cupboard, just waiting to be made into something lovely and squishy. Given how chunky the yarn is, I knew any texture I wanted to add had to be fairly simple, which is where this stitch comes into play. Then it became a matter of what I wanted the garment to be and after a few iterations, I finally hit upon a scarf that I think is the perfect combination of width and length.

The pattern comes with both Australian (metric) and US (imperial) sizes and measurements. It includes a photo tutorial for the twisted stitches, and the stitch pattern comes in both charted and written form.

You can substitute any 20ply (light Jumbo) yarn that recommends a 15mm (US 19) needle size for the specified yarn. Instructions are also given for substituting 18ply (super bulky) yarns.
