Starwars R2D2 Hat Pattern

So I like to crochet, I like to design, but have no clue what sort of yarn, what gauge, what other technical lingo is used.

While watching Starwars the boxset, my little boy fell in love with R2D2. So I made him a hat! He wears is all the time!

This pattern is in English and is worked in US crochet terms.
