Sliced Apple Coaster Set

This is a crochet pattern to create 6 apple shaped coasters and a cute apple shaped holder to neatly store them in.

This pattern is written using US terms and includes a chart to convert into UK terms. I have included photographs to help with instructions in the pattern.

I have used UK Chunky yarn for this pattern, you may use 2 strands of DK yarn together instead to achieve the same gauge. I have used a smaller hook than standard for this size yarn to create a tighter stitch, which will help prevent liquid seeping through the coasters when in use. Finished coasters should be approximately 10cm in diameter.

You will need a cream or white colour yarn for the inner apple, a main Apple colour eg. green or red yarn, green yarn for the leaf, brown yarn for the stalk and pips. Less than a ball/skein of each colour is used.
