Product Description
The Sea Waves Hat is inspired by a 1940s Golden Eagle jumper knitting pattern of the same name. It is a good introduction to knitting cables, with the easy-to-knit wavy cable design standing out on a purl stitch background. Designed for DK, double-knitting yarn (or a thick sports weight yarn such as Sirdar's Cashmere Merino Silk DK - pictured), the pattern requires only 100g of DK yarn to complete (one 100g ball or two 50g balls). The hat is knit flat and the seam sewn with mattress stitch. There are photo-illustrated guides to mattress stitch and creating a stretchy rib cast on. There is both a chart and written instructions.
