Ribbed Winter Hat

This easy 3x3 ribbed winter hat knitting pattern from Lily B's has been created with cooler weather in mind. You can wear this hat with the brim rolled up like a classic winter hat, or with the brim unrolled as a more trendy slouchy hat. It's soft, squishy and has incredible stretch.

I designed this pattern using craft store acrylic because I find that it washes and dries well in the machine and it gets softer and softer each time you wash it.

However, if you prefer working with a different yarn, any comparable yarn would work, as well.

SIZES: Preemie, Newborn, 0 to 3 months, 3-6 Months, 6-12 Months, Small Child, Large Child, Teen, Adult + 18" Doll

SKILL LEVEL: Beginner, but you must be able to knit in the round

YARN WEIGHT: #4 medium worsted

MY GAUGE: 18 sts x 24 rows = 4"x4" swatch

NEEDLE SIZE: 5mm (US8)

TECHNIQUES USED: Knit, purl, knitting and purling two stitches together.
